Challenges
Numz is a unique platform that brings friendly personal bets into a digital environment. The project required solving both product and technical challenges that, in typical betting platforms, are handled by large teams. Here, everything had to be built from scratch, while remaining scalable and user-friendly.
- Complex business logic
From the user’s point of view, a bet is simple — but here, you don’t bet against a bookmaker, you bet against another person. We had to design and implement mechanisms commonly used in professional platforms: line setting and approval, automated settlement, notifications, and the Numzees point system.
- Scalability and extendability
One of the key objectives was to enable future development — adding new bet types and settlement logic without rebuilding the entire app. We designed an architecture that supports flexible expansion through modular structure and clean logic separation.
The biggest challenge was to combine betting logic and transaction safety with the scalability and flexibility of a modern SaaS product.
Solution
We designed and launched a closed platform that allows friends to make personal bets — with no commissions or house edge. Bets are placed within the app, and Numzees (virtual points) are automatically settled. The app follows proven product and design patterns from the world’s top betting platforms.

Feature narrowing
We focused on the essential features that enabled real-world betting scenarios. The PoC was simplified but complete – ready for practical use from day one.
Mobile application
We developed the mobile app in React Native smoothly on both Android and iOS. Performance, interface clarity, and user data security were all top priorities.
Deployment
Numz was launched as a closed platform, ready for growth and future scalability. Architecture and processes were designed with expansion in mind.
Ideation phase
We identified key functionalities and user needs, creating a logical foundation for the MVP. User flows were mapped to ensure the app would be intuitive and quick to launch.
