Restoring the Functionality of the Energy Advisors Portal for the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management

The Energy Advisors Portal was a system that, at some point, stopped being used by the client. Missing data and lack of development led to a situation where critical information had to be collected manually again. Our task was to extend the system with new features enabling the collection of essential data, migrate tens of thousands of manually gathered records, and restore the full usability of the application.

The first step was to run the system locally, analyze the source code and project logic, and then fix errors that blocked proper operation.

  • Environmental constraints

The project was carried out in a highly controlled environment on the client’s side, without direct access to virtual machines. Prognetics Team had to comply with the customer’s corporate procedures.

Following our standard process, we ran the system locally and carried out a detailed verification of its functionality. Then, in close cooperation with the client, we defined a list of necessary changes and began implementing them, extending the system with features missing from the previous version.
